Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports set to get elbows up at Jacksonville and Tri-State

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (April 13, 2026) - It was an action-packed weekend in Pevely for “Big Wheel” Scotty Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports, joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in a two-day visit to I-55 Federated Auto Parts Raceway Park on Friday and Saturday, April 10-11. When the dust finally settled on Saturday night, the Sheboygan, Wisconsin, ace and WoO Rookie of the Year contender found himself with one A-Main start, doing so on Saturday in the Spring Classic finale; he was scored 21st.
From one elbows-up weekend to another, Big Wheel will continue his World of Outlaws rookie campaign with an Illinois and Indiana double on April 17-18, taking a hold of Jacksonville Speedway and Tri-State Speedway in consecutive fashion. Thiel will roll into Illinois 16th in the WoO driver standings, still hunting for his first top-ten as a full-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competitor.
“It should be an exciting weekend at Jacksonville and Tri-State,” Thiel, the ace of Greg Wheeler’s Scott Thiel Builders, Gibbsville Cheese, Flint Trucking, Professional Plating, Richards Well Drilling, Complete Water, No. 16C sprint car. “Things are moving right along for us. Still searching for a big kick of momentum. One weekend could change everything, so we’re always optimistic. Hats off to this entire team. Being the ‘new guys’ is never easy, especially amongst this caliber of company. The hard work and determination will pay off.”
