Scotty Thiel sets compass for Oklahoma

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (March 16, 2026) - The “Big Wheel” Scotty Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports are heading for Oklahoma, ready to rejoin the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in a two-day invasion, all of which beginning Friday, March 20, in Lawton Speedway’s Sooner Stampede. From there, the Greatest Show On Dirt will move to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, on Saturday, March 21. The Creekadega 40 will feature the Outlaws at Creek County for the first time.
Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports will roll into Oklahoma fresh off of a visit to Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas. The Sheboygan, Wisconsin, native finished 17th the first night; Saturday’s finale was eventually postponed due to a fatal incident involving a Series official.
“First and foremost, our hearts are with everyone at Kennedale, as well as the World of Outlaws. What happened was tragic, as well as heartbreaking, and we’re praying for everyone affected,” Thiel was quick to note. “All we can do is keep our heads up and keep powering forward. We’ll work towards a fresh start on Friday at Lawton.”

Scotty Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports will continue their 2026 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year campaign with two nights in Oklahoma, visiting Lawton Speedway and Creek County Speedway on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21.
