Big Wheel 11th in Bike Week Jamboree Finale; WoO campaign continues in Alabama

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (March 3, 2026) - The “Big Wheel” Scotty Thiel and Greg Wheeler Motorsports returned to the Sunshine State during the recent weekend, continuing their 2026 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year campaign with Volusia Speedway Park’s two-day Bike Week Jamboree on March 1-2. Although just missing the top-ten, Thiel and Wheeler padded the notebook, eventually concluding their two-day visit with an 11th-place score on Monday, March 2; the team was scored 21st the night prior.
Thiel, the ace of Greg Wheeler’s Scott Thiel Builders, Gibbsville Cheese, Flint Trucking, Professional Plating, Richards Well Drilling, Complete Water, No. 16C sprint car, will continue his Rookie of the Year campaign with a visit to the “deep south,” invading Talladega Short Track in Alabama and Magnolia Motor Speedway in Mississippi on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7.
Big Wheel finished third in each of his Bike Week Jamboree heat races.
“Overall, happy with our progress as a team. We’re the new kids on the block, for sure, but we’re making gains and it feels good,” Thiel noted. “The plan is to keep this momentum rolling in Alabama and Mississippi. As we continue to build momentum and confidence, the results will follow.”
